Physical Exams

We perform all kinds of physical exams.

Nurse practitioner – Kent, WAOur nurse practitioners perform nearly every kind of physical exam known to man and some known only to women. In fact, here’s a list of the many physical examinations we routinely perform at FamilyCare of Kent:

Well-woman exams – Well-woman exams are designed mainly for screening and prevention. We screen for gynecologic problems, HPV (human papilloma virus) and Pap testing along with complete lab and blood testing.

Well-baby/Child exams – The American Academy of Pediatrics advises that babies should have checkups at two weeks, two months, four months, six months, nine months, 12 months, 15 months and 18 months. Children should also be checked once a year until age 21.

Annual health check physicals – A thorough annual physical exam is one of the best preventive care services you can have. As part of this physical, we screen you for a number of potentially life-threatening diseases, including cancer.

Annual STD screening exams – Screening for Chlamydia, gonorrhea, herpes, genital warts (HPV), HIV, trichomoniasis, bacterial vaginosis and yeast infections is included in these exams.

Department of Transportation physicals/Commercial driver licensing physicals – We have years of experience working with commercial driver licensing entities. We understand their needs and special requirements, and we’ve designed our licensing physicals to meet them. Our physicals meet the stringent government requirements of the US Department of Transportation (DOT).

Sports physicals – For all local school and club-based sports teams. Find out if your child or teen is in good physical condition to participate in his or her chosen sports. Sports physicals cost $40 for high school and middle school students. Sports physicals for college cost $75. Students participating in club sports below the middle school level can have sports physical forms completed as part of their well-child visit. Please have all parts of the form you can complete filled in prior to the visit. We are happy to see any student residing in the Auburn, Federal Way, Highline, Kent, Renton, Tahoma and Tukwila school districts. Unfortunately we are unable to see students from outside of these areas for sports physicals. Any student already a patient in our practice is also welcome. We provide these affordable exams as a service to our community. Ask providers in your community to join us in providing a similiar service.
