Physical Exams

We perform all types of physical exams

Our nurse practitioners perform nearly every kind of physical exam known to man and some known only to women. At FamilyCare of Kent, Washington, we provide physical exams and health screenings when you need them, and we can often perform physicals on short notice for the convenience of our patients. Here’s a list of the many physical examinations we routinely perform at FamilyCare of Kent:

Well-Woman Exams

Well-woman exams are designed mainly for screening and prevention. We screen for gynecologic problems, HPV (human papilloma virus), and cervical cancer with Pap testing, along with complete lab work and blood testing.

Well-Baby/Well-Child Exams

The American Academy of Pediatrics advises that babies should have checkups at two weeks, two months, four months, six months, nine months, 12 months, 15 months, and 18 months. Children should also be checked once a year until age 21. Learn more about our children’s health exams and services.

Annual Health Check Physicals

A thorough annual physical exam is one of the best preventive care services you can have. As part of this physical, we screen you for a number of potentially life-threatening diseases, including cancer.

Annual STD Screening Exams

Screening for chlamydia, gonorrhea, herpes, genital warts (HPV), HIV, trichomoniasis, bacterial vaginosis, and yeast infections is included in these exams. Learn more about STD screening.

Sports Physicals / School Physicals

We conduct sports physicals for all local school and club-based sports teams.

We are happy to see any student residing in the Auburn, Federal Way, Highline, Kent, Renton, Tahoma, and Tukwila school districts. Unfortunately we are unable to see students from outside of these areas for sports physicals. Any student already a patient in our practice is also welcome. We provide these affordable exams as a service to our community.

Sports physicals cost $40 for high school and middle school students. Students participating in club sports below the middle school level can have sports physical forms completed as part of their annual well-child visit.

Please complete the form as much as possible prior to the exam.
